National Science Foundation funded Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering (CSNE) will offer a summer (June 13-August 18) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in 2017 at University of Washington at Seattle. Students in the program will have the opportunity to participate in innovative research at the neural interface, as well as to attend special sessions on ethics, communication skills, laboratory safety and other selected topics. (CNSE REU)

At the end of the 10 week program students will present their work to the CSNE community in a research symposium.  Details about the program and application materials can be found at: http://csne-erc.org/content/research-experience-undergraduates

There are many other universities that offer REU experiences during summer and you can search for them here.

Interested students should email the contacts listed for each site directly. These programs are excellent experience for anyone but especially students who are interested in graduate research. Most programs provide a stipend as well as support for travel and housing.
